Introduction

Hello everyone!

This is a page where I will be posting small updates and messages, in letter-form, addressed to my friend Emma. This page is open to the public, for the sake of easy access. Since I will not be posting anything too in-depth or personal, anyone can read the posts if they do so please. However, the content may be uninteresting to those who this page was not made for.

You are welcome to click out right now, if you're already bored. Yep. Right this second. Let me show you the way out! Okay, just kidding. But seriously, it may get boring or weird sometimes. Some of the posts will be riddled with inside jokes and seemingly strange stories that make no sense. For example, I will often refer to Emma as Rug (Which, for the record, is pronounced "Roog" like rouge, not "Rug" like carpet). Read at your own risk!

I will also post bits of my writing work here, mainly because Emma happens to be my go-to when I need advice on my writing, and the other way around as well. If that interests you, feel free to read or even leave some feedback!

Most of all, this is where I will write virtual letters to my best friend who lives on the other corner of the globe. I will pitch ideas, update her about my life, post photos, send recipes, reminisce about our past adventures, and crow on about having future ones. Perhaps while reading, you will find yourself connecting to how we feel- maybe you also have a friend who you can't see as you please. Or perhaps you're fortunate enough to be able to see your friend every day. Either way, I encourage you all to tell your friend, "thank you" today. To not take them for granted. To not think that they'll always be a car ride away, or even a plane ride away. Truth is, nobody ever knows what's going to happen next. Cherish each moment you spend together.

And with that, welcome to Dear Emma. I hope you enjoy these letters as much as I enjoy writing them.

With love,

Soo Hyun
